These baskets were used for harvesting grapes in the Champagne region of France. They are made of woven wicker with twisted wire supports and sit on two wooden runners. We bought 24 of these from the renowned maker Henri Giroud hench the HG on each basket. They are a great size and could be used with a liner as a planter and are perfect as log baskets, laundry baskets, and shoe or toy storage. We have 5 still available.



CONDITION




  • Minor scratches, nicks and scuffs consistent with age and use




  • Slight surface wear and variations in colour due to weathering




  • There are professional repairs to the wicker on some of the baskets. All have been washed and treated for woodworm.
