Item Description
A fine late 18th century marquetry Dressing Table in satinwood and partridge wood. The table is raised on cabriole legs that are inlaid with scrolls and hare-bells. The shaped serpentine frieze has dummy drawers and slides to the front and sides which are inlaid with floral marquetry and cock-beaded in partridge wood. The top also with marquetry inlay is triple banded in King wood, rosewood and satinwood and lifts to reveal an interior of covered compartments and folding mirror. In excellent condition. 730mm high, 670mm wide and 450mm deep. English. Circa 1790.
