An English George II figured walnut, caddy top chest, of good colour & patina. The rectangular top quarter veneered with burr walnut, feather and cross banded. A retractable brushing slide, with a leather inset writing surface, is fitted over an arrangement of four long, graduated, feather banded and cock-beaded oak lined drawers The sides of matched walnut veneers and cross banded. The chest stands on the shaped bracket feet. 805mm high, 825mm wide and 470mm deep. Circa 1735
