Portrait of a Dark Bay Horse in a Hampshire landscape painted by William Garland of Winchester, (fl. 1853-1882). Signed and dated 1852 by the artist.
Within a period gilt gesso frame.

William Garland lived between 1817 and 1882, mostly in Winchester.
He exhibited on four occassions at the Royal Academy; in 1857,1859, 1862 and 1873.
