A fine mezzotint of Charles Grey, M.P. for Northumberland, engraved by Dickinson after the painting by Thomas Lawrence; published by W. Austin in 1794.


Within a good replica of a correct print frame with a gilt and sanded slip.

Charles Grey was Prime Minister of England from 1830-1834 and it was under his government that the electorate was expanded through the Reform Acts of 1832 and slavery was abolished in the British Empire by the enactment of The Slavery Abolition Act of 1833.
