Item Details

Dutch tobacco box engraved all over with a brass body and raised copper lid and base, each engraved with scenes taken from the Christmas story. The lid with the nativity outside of the inn; the base with the shepherds receiving the news from the angel.

Engraved to the inside of the lid and dated 1737.
