A perfect French bronze door knocker of a concise design, dating for the last quarter of the eighteenth century, marked twice with a stamp of two Cs within a rectangle, the bearing boss associated. (I should know what the mark means but it will make no difference. They are likely a French 'Tax Paid' stamp from the 18th century).
