A wonderful Old Sheffield Plate Bread Basket with a wire-work frieze set with engraved acanthus leaves.


The base of the basket and a cartouche set in the swing handle engraved with the crest of a Demi Lion out of a Mural Crown with a Pole-Axe: Hanbury, Leigh-Hanbury, Wildman, Williams.


Made circa 1770.


13.5 inches x 10 inches. 9.75 inches high with the handle up.
