A seventeenth century toothpick case, silver-lined, the outer case with silver pique work on pimply leather (said to be from the belly of a donkey!); at either end a heart, to the centre of the lid a design of opposing lilies.


This work most usually encountered on the outer case of a seventeenth century pair-cased watch.
