Item Details

A pair of mid 18th century Swedish wall sconces, repoussé brass with further punchwork detailing, a design of leaves and flowers puntuated with further reflecting domes. The arms and candle sockets plain and cast.

The work and design of these sconces is recognised as being from Skultuna, Sweden, first appearing towards the end of the seventeenth century and remaining popular through to the middle of the eighteenth century.

Some lead solder at the high points and to the reverse of one principal reflecting area.
