Item Details

A fine Regency mahogany cheval mirror, having ring turned uprights terminating in carved finials and adjoined by turned stretcher rails. The rectangular crossbanded mahogany frame with an ebony slip. Retaining the wonderful original mercury plate glass which is foxed in places but gives a good clear reflection. The beautifully proportioned mirror retains the original finish with lovely colour and patina throughout. The whole raised on reeded legs with original gilt lacquered brass castors. English, Circa 1820.
