Item Description
An exceptional quality, 18th Century French walnut commode with its original moulded grey and white veined marble top that conforms to the shape of the commode below. Having three small drawers across the top and a further two long drawers below, unusual brass handles with eagle shaped back plates, and beautiful foliate escutcheons. Flanked by fluted columns at the front corners and fielded panels to the drawers and sides with ebony inlay. Raised on nicely turned, tapering legs.
Fabulous colour with wonderful warmth and a great patina.
