A cabinet is a cupboard with shelves or drawers for storing or displaying articles and may be with or without door.
Counters have been used in many commercial situations over which business in one form or another has been conducted. In shops, offices or banks for instance. They are usually a large item of furniture that has a long, flat top, are sturdy and may or may not have some form of shelving or intererior storage. Designers and Architects use antique and later counters to create kitchen islands. They convert them for modern use by cutting into the tops cookers and sinks for example. This provides a unique and practical work area and can save space and bring much of what you need to prepare food, all into one compact area.
Bedside cabinets or tables are used not just in the bedoom now, but in the living areas as well. A functional, usually fairly easy to move around piece of furniture, we have a great selection on the Decorative Collective form antique to more modern ones. Those with marble tops are easy to clean and also consider the size of the tops surface, as it's no good having a small top if you want to add a big lamp and space for other items.
