A 1950s French Olive Wood Credenza in Chalet Style. This Modern Rustic Sideboard is constructed from beautiful solid Olive Wood with waney edges and has forged iron handles and hinges. The Rustic or 'Arte Populaire' movement was very fashionable in the Mid C20th period and championed by the Ateliers de Marolles. The use of traditional crafts/techniques and indigenous woods was married with a modern design approach to very popular effect.
