Item Description

Picassiette (mosaics made from bits of broken plate) was a traditional craft in Provence in Southern France during the 19th & early 20th centuries when families would enshrine their favourite broken pieces to create a form of 'Memory Art'. But it's now hard to find nice pieces so maybe all the broken pottery has dried up ? This rare example with an original print of children measures 22 inches high x 17 wide and has been hanging in my kitchen for several years. I'm torn between selling or keeping it !
