A superb little French 19th c Wrought iron Cafe Table with a grey Slate top - a perfect example of the skill and enthusiasm that the French ironmongers displayed in their craft during the 18th and 19th centuries. The iron base has been wrought into a wonderful sinuous shape and finished with the traditional lead joinery and then embellished with brass balls. An absolute treat! Circa 1860

Appley Hoare has always been associated with the visual arts. working firstly in advertising, then photography, later as a stylist, which led to her being the Interior Design Editor on a prominent 'Homes' magazine.
Obsessed with collecting antiques from an early age, and whilst studying at the Sorbonne in Paris, she would spend hours scouring flea markets.
It was therefore inevitable that Appley would one day open an antique business and she has now been dealing in French Country furniture for over 15 years.
Appley has a showroom in Chelsea, London and is a regular exhibitor at a the Decorative Fair in London. The shop is open Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm and Saturday, 10am-5pm.
