A superbly carved Florentine gilt mirror. c.1880. Typically Florentine Italian Style, and ornately decorated by scrolls and acanthus leaves in high relief. Retaining its’ original delicately foxed glass with beautifully distressed gilding, revealing the underlying red bole gesso base beneath its soft golden surface.
