Item Description
Buff terracotta urn by Pulham and Sons with rams’ heads and swags, in three sections.
By the renowned maker James Pulham of Broxbourne. Circa 1880.
There is an area of loss around the top rim.
Height 130cm x Width 80cm x Depth 80cm
Base Measurements - Height 60cm x Width 45cm x Depth 45cm
Urn Measurements - Height 70cm x Width 80cm x Depth 80cm
The Pulham company was established by James Pulham in 1820.
They began making terracotta in 1846 and their work won awards and medals throughout the 1850’s and 1860’s, at the Great Exhibition and other International Exhibitions
They were awarded a Royal Warrant in 1895.
The company ceased in 1939.
