Item Description
A stunning portrait of an unknown brunette sitter by an equally anonymous mid twentieth century artist - who knows it could even be a self-portrait? The signature looks like 'Baria' so perhaps it is a portrait of a Maharani, sadly Google doesn't oblige. I read the date as '41'. The Painting is executed on board and measures 65 x 50 cm and 79 x 65 cm overall in its frame. It is framed in a black gesso frame with a gold leaf inner edge handmade by Christina Leder. It is currently available to view and buy in our Cecil Court Branch in London.
