Item Description
Interesting Collection of Carved Wood Wig Makers' Heads from France, each mounted on a later turned maplewood 'spindle' stand.
The 'mannequin' heads were originally made in France circa 1900-1920 to be used for creating wigs and vary in height between 16-18 inches tall. on their stands.
All 4 heads are in good though used basic condition with a variety of markings, such as pin marks on the crowns where the wigs were assembled and various other small imperfections from their age and usage.
The maple wood stands have been more recently created by a wood turner to hold the heads so they can be displayed as interesting sculptural objects.
Price is for a single mannequin head on stand.
