Item Description
Early 19th.c. Welsh oak Cwpwrdd Gwydr (glass cupboard) or kitchen cabinet, c.1820. In two pieces with a glazed two door cupboard top, the green painted interior fitted with two shelves, internal depth 15½", (the top shelf shaped at the front to allow taller items to stand on the shelf below). Over two door cupboard base with two drawers at the waist. Moulded cornice, raised mouldings around the smaller upper glass panels, cockbeaded drawer fronts, inlaid bone escutcheons and attractive glass and brass knobs. Note the inlaid mahogany diamond lozenges to the front of both sections, typical of furniture produced in Anglesey in the 19th.c. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
