Item Description
A fabulous signed Lumière sculptural table lamp, dating from circa the 1970s/80s.
Featuring an extraordinary stylised swan with a beautifully fluid, sweeping silhouette, finished in a highly polished dark metal and raised upon a substantial square plinth. The sculptural form curves elegantly around the central brass lamp stem, which is adjustable in height, allowing the overall proportions of the lamp and shade to be altered as desired. Very good condition.
Rewired in a fabric flex cable with an in-line switch.
Topped with a dramatic pagoda-style shade, finished with its distinctive gilt key emblem.
Signed to the base.
Beautiful both illuminated and unlit, this is as much a piece of sculpture as it is functional lighting. A wonderfully glamorous and unusual statement lamp, with all the drama and elegance associated with 1970s Hollywood Regency interiors.
