Item Description
Circa 1880. A large pair of Sevres three-part vases. Made to commentate ‘Napoleon Bonaparte,’ with the ‘N’ motifs and painting on three locations, with a removable blue porcelain and decorated lid surmounted by a gilded brass eagle, the inside of the lid signed ‘Sevres’, the circular body with an N embossed in the top in gold the front with a beautiful painting in the center, the back with a gilded frame hand painted with flowers, with a pair of lifting handles with a goddess on each side, the entire body decorated throughout, supported on a circular stem with an ‘N’ enclose by a gilded wreath, surmounted with a gilded eagle, all on a platform base with cast brass rondels on the facing sitting on four animal feet with scrolling to the sides. Both in perfect condition.
