Circa 1890.A pair of George III style mahogany and inlaid and sliver mounted urn shaped cutlery stands, each surmounted by a stylish finial, the lids with chequered chevron inlay with curvaceous concave sections, the deep shaped lid with a central upright on the inside, open to a stepped and fitted interior with four tiers, fitted out for different shapes of cutlery, the front with a double escutcheon, in white metal or silver, the tapering body with similar inlay as the top, with a large circular foot resting on a square inlayed platform base, all supported on four squat ogee bracket feet. Fantastic colour and patination and great style.
