British ceramist Paul Philp lives and works in Bath, he has been creating ceramics for over 50 years. Philp creates each piece by hand using clays from Devon and Staffordshire, he then fires his vessels multiple times adding slips and oxides, to create his unique surface textures and palette. Philp is inspired by Japanese Minka, ancient art and the natural world around him. His work exudes serenity and calmness, his pieces have a timeless understated quality and they work well in a variety of interior schemes.
