Item Description
This chandelier was made in France in the 1920s.
This decorative light has a gilt metal frame with a nice warm patina. Its structure features gracefully curved arms that extend outward in symmetrical scroll patterns. At the top, decorative curled metalwork rises toward the hanging chain, adding height and elegance. (The chain can be shorter, or longer - entirely up to you.)
It holds eight candle-style lights with cream-colored cylindrical sleeves that resemble traditional wax candles. Each light sits in a shallow, round metal cup that matches the finish of the frame.
Crystal embellishments are abundant throughout the piece. Large faceted teardrop pendants hang from the arms and centre, catching and reflecting light. There are also elongated crystal prisms, leaf-shaped glass pieces, and delicate strands of small bead-like crystals draped in gentle swags between the arms. Near the bottom centre, a prominent large crystal drop anchors the design.
Small flower-shaped glass accents appear throughout the frame, reinforcing the floral, romantic theme. Overall, the chandelier combines worn gilt ironwork with sparkling crystal details, creating an elegant, antique lighting fixture with a soft, romantic character.
