Item Description
A very fine pair of George III silver candlesticks by John and Thomas Settle with hallmarks for Sheffield 1816.
They have removable gadrooned sconces on knopped and tapering sticks with loaded bases. They are in excellent condition and stand beautifully.
Interestingly, they come with perfectly matching three light silver plated candelabra which fit onto the candlesticks. These were produced by the same original manufacturer and match perfectly with the candlesticks. They are also in good condition and look superb on a dining table.
The Hallmark is visible on both candlesticks and two of the six sconces.
The candlesticks alone are 30cm high but, with the candelabra fitted, they measure 49cm high and 42cm wide.
