Item Description
An English 18th Century Oak Dresser Base/Server of Slim and Long Proportions with Turned Legs and Great Colour.
This dresser base is of long and slim proportions, allowing it to act as a fine serving table. It has a single plank top with applied moulded edge and the three drawers to the frieze are all cockbeaded and have swan's neck handles. The piece stands on six legs with decorative bobbin turning and reeding to the collars. The under tier or shelf is a later addition, possibly circa 1930s. The oak used throughout has attained a lovely golden colour in some spots and has mellowed in others.
This is a lovely piece of unusual dimensions and proportions.
