This is an antique stationery box. An English, golden oak and brass fall front desk tidy, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Beautifully figured desk box, with fine craftsmanship and great colour
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Striking golden oak bedazzles, with wisps of medullary rays adding further interest
Tastefully dressed to the top and fascia with brass cappings, adding appealing tonality
Arranged with a small drawer over the main compartment, with circular brass pulls
The fall-front with a pierced brass lock escutcheon — in working order, key present
Opens to a fitted interior, presenting the pen tray and document slides with articulation
The pen tray lid is removable, adding further space for smaller items
Engraved with a registered design number across the leading edge of the fall
