This is a pair of antique parallel rulers. An English, coromandel and brass articulated draughtsman's instrument, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Charming 18" type parallel rulers, ideal for the draughtsman or cartographer
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Coromandel shows deep hues with flashes or warm caramel
Brass hinges articulate in parallel, operating smoothly
Of identical type, one marked for Stanley, Great Turnstile, London
The marked Stanley example personalised on the fascia for a Frederick Haslam
Further engraved with a name to each end 'JOS BOL' and 'BOLTON' opposite
