This is a pair of antique decorative stem vases. A Japanese, bronze Meiji era baluster urn, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.
Traditional baluster form with superb relief bird detail in the Meiji tradition
Displaying a desirable aged patina gently time worn
Quality bronze shows fine tonality with a deep chestnut coloration
Ideal for posies with an opening diameter of 3.5cm deep within the flared rim
Decorative relief birds sit prominently around the body
Depicted sat upon fruiting branches amongst naive cloud motif
