This is a tall antique Famille Rose vase. A Chinese, ceramic decorative baluster urn, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
A treat of visual interest and of good proportion for use as a centrepiece
Displaying a desirable aged patina, in good antique order throughout
Ceramic shows a crisp white ground, with applied gilt finish
The body decorated with twelve panels, alternating between figural and nature scenes
To the front and rear, a vibrant, colourful court scene of several seated figures
Secondary panels offer a bountiful tree visited by colourful birds of paradise and butterflies
Gold coloured vestigial handles in the form of Oriental lions
