A collection of four early 18th Century English architectural engravings by James (Giacomo) Leoni. Presented in hand decorated distressed silver gilt and mirrored frames. James Leoni (1686-1746) born in Venice is best known for his role in introducing and popularising Palladian architecture in England. From 'Some Designs for Buildings', both Public and Private Project for Triumphal Arch. With a dedication to George I, Project for Dover House, London. With a dedication to the Duke of Queensberry, Project for Carshalton House. With a dedication to Thomas Scawen, Project for a Stone Bridge. With a dedication to Baron Thomas Onslow. Circa 1730.
