Item Description
An 18th century sideboard crafted from solid oak, showcasing a warm, rich patina developed over centuries of use. Its proportions are both generous and balanced, making it as functional today as it was over 200 years ago.
The top is formed from solid oak boards, below, the configuration includes three drawers across the top, with brass swan-neck handles and diamond shaped bone escutcheons. The central section houses three further drawers, stacked vertically, flanked by a cupboard door on either side. The drawers are constructed with traditional hand-cut dovetails and feature cockbeaded edges.
The two cupboard doors are panelled and open to reveal ample storage space, ideal for linens, dining ware, or other household items.
Standing on square legs, the dresser is sturdy and well-constructed. The oak has aged beautifully, displaying natural variations and characterful grain throughout, enhanced by a well-maintained waxed finish.
A timeless and characterful piece, ready to be enjoyed in a new home.
