The rectangular top is inset with a new, thick, high-quality leather writing surface, which has been hand-dyed using traditional techniques to achieve a unique and refined bottle green tone. The leather is finished with a tooled gilt edge, adding a sophisticated decorative touch while offering a smooth, durable surface ideal for writing or display.

Three drawers run along the front of the desk, each providing ample storage for writing materials and essentials. The drawers retain their original Victorian styling, with turned wooden handles, and are constructed with hand-cut dovetail joints—an enduring mark of quality craftsmanship.
