Item Description
Antique French archtop mirror, circa 1870, with etched gilt frame decorated with a criss-cross design and a beaded sight edge. Where this mirror has been dusted for over 150 years, the gilding has thinned revealing the light terracotta bole beneath, giving the mirror frame an attractive and gentle patina. The original glass is in very good condition with just a little light age and gives an excellent reflection. This classic style of mirror would work well as an overmantel.
