Item Description
Mid 19th century cushioned Venetian mirror with layered, bevelled glass frame decorated at each corner with a large, curvy acanthus leaf. Each join in the frame is held in place with a little glass leaf, secured in place with a domed, glass-topped screw. There is a little age in sections of the frame and some attractive age in the original central glass, which gives an excellent reflection. This simple, elegant mirror can be hung portrait (as photographed) or landscape.
