Item Description
This little pillow is made from a lovely vintage Savu ikat shawl. The ikat was hand loomed in thick cotton which was coloured with natural dyes. The colours have faded over time to soft light and dark indigo and a beautiful old pink from the plant morinda citrifolia. I've backed the pillow with a vintage hand loomed cotton in raspberry and used the shawls fringed ends for the ends of the pillow. The pillow is stuffed with Provencal lavender selected for its long lasting scent. Keep it any where but not in your drawers as its too pretty. Scrunch it up to refresh the scent.
I think it is really beautiful and a treat for lovers of old textiles.
