Item Description
This cushion is made from an antique Transylvanian embroider. The embroidery itself is absolutely exquisite. Originally in red cotton, it has faded to a lovely pinky red which doesn't quite come off in the photographs.
The embroidery is on a lovely handloomed and you can still see bits of flax in the weave. I've backed the cushion with another antique linen and added tiny Uzbek tassels in the corners. These are also little works of art with each strand of yarn ending in a tiny bead.
It has a zip fastener and feather pad.
This is a great pillow for a low backed sofa or a bed and will suit neutral interior schemes where you don't want strong colours.
