Item Description
An adapted 19th century elm and cherrywood server. Two beautifully seasoned cherrywood timbers span the top of this handsome country piece above a run of three deep drawers, each drawer embellished with a decorative fretwork brass handle. A small shaped frieze sits below the middle drawer, this design being repeated to the corner brackets and sides. A single polished elm timber spans the length of the back. Originally slightly deeper in scale, but adapted to a more useful scale making it perfect for virtually any room. Cleaned, polished and now wood worm treated as a precautionary measure. Good weight and density to this substantial country house piece. Fabulous rich colour and polished finish. French country server.
