Item Description
A superb example of a 19th century cast iron garden bench. The decorative architectural ends to this fabulous bench are united by a long cast iron rod beneath the bench seat. The iron work still bears the original paint in a charismatic worn green. The oak slats to the seat and back are in superb sturdy condition with a smattering of moss and lichen. Not only an extremely comfortable bench but a pretty focal point for any garden. English painted garden bench. Circa 1860.
