Item Description
Original vintage oil on board painting by Akos Biro, Hungarian (1911-2002).
Free-moving, sketchy brushstrokes really capture the feeling of lying naked in the South of France in the gentle sea breeze.
I think you could probably pinpoint exactly where by studying the lighthouses of the Cote D’Azur the board itself was purchased in Cannes.
Born in Hungary but very much thought of as a well-renowned French painter.
Came to the previous owner directly from the artist’s estate.
Comes complete with an exhibition leaflet.
The painting is generally in good vintage order there are a few small areas of wear but nothing too serious. Please see the photos.
