This Egyptian style lamp became popular and was produced in Europe from the late 1960`s, after the King Tutankhamun exhibitions in Paris, France in 1967, and Brussels, Belgium in 1970. In the north of Italy, prestigious porcelain & ceramic manufacturers such as S.V. Porcellane d`Arte di Sabadin Vittorio, Ronzan and Ahura made similar examples.

Superbly hand painted & gilded, this vintage porcelain lamp is unique, with white as the base colour. Although not signed, it has all the design features & craftsmanship of similar examples by Ahura Porcelain of Italy, the attributed designer & manufacturer.

The shade has a great quality metal frame with two arches open, one frontal and the other at the back, emphasizing the view & beauty of the mask. It is made of silk fabric in ivory tone with a triple fabric trim around the top & bottom in blue, gold & ivory. It is further lined in beige fabric.

Underneath the lamp base is padded with new black felt to protect the furniture below.
