Item Description
K0661 A highly attractive and well-proportioned Regency giltwood overmantel mirror. This fine quality antique mirror features an imposing gilded frame flanked by elegant half-columns, intricate scroll motifs, and finely carved decorative flowers. Rarely found in such good condition, the mirror retains its original foxed mercury glass plate, casting a beautifully aged, soft reflection. It stands as an authentic testament to the period, retaining its original backboards and original water gilding, which has been sensitively touched up only where necessary to preserve its historical character.
Stylish, elegant, and perfectly scaled, this piece would serve as a striking focal point, effortlessly gracing any traditional or contemporary interior. c1820
