Early 19^th Century angel figures

A matched pair of hand painted gold gilt pine wooden angel figures. These figures are early, and their condition reflects this, we have suggested an age of 19^th century however they could well be earlier at closer inspection. With their positions and detail to only one side we feel they could have been mounted onto a larger display/alter at some point. Now more decorative objects that could be place over a fireplace or even mounted to a wall / door entrance.

Condition: Aged / worn

Aged wear across all surfaces, with loss of painted detail and chipped surface paint. Some of carved detail is also damaged in places specifically missing arms and foot on one figure, The wings are attached and original to the figures but loosely positioned. The pictures aim to show the damage and wear as best as possible. These figures do not stand completely upright due to the bases being carved at slight angles.
