Item Description

19th Century Liberty and Co Moorish window seat

A late 19th Century Moorish window seat of a type retailed by Liberty and Co.
In overall excellent condition. A rich deep colour with bone and mother of Pearl inlaid decoration.  Mashrabiya panels to the arms and original carpet upholstery, It would perfectly placed in front of a window or next to an open fireplace.

Size in inches: H 27” x W 28” x D 18”
Origin: Syrian
Material: Wood and Fabric

Completely solid in structure and form, aged naturally across all the surfaces. The wooden surface shows scratches and wear as you would expect from a well-used item, the bottom to the sprung seat hangs a light but is in keeping of an untouched object of this age. This is an old item so please bare into consideration its condition when purchasing. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas in this piece, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.
