Item Description
A pair of mid 18th century Italian marble busts depicting the Roman Emperors Augustus and Nero.
Also known as Octavian, Augustus was the first Roman Emperor and founder of the Roman Empire. Nero was his great-great-grandson, ruling the Roman Empire some 40-years later.
Carved with white marble heads and variegated marble attire to their shoulders, these two 18th century Italian busts inspired by Roman history are a striking pair for a console or mantelpiece, each elevated by a later 19th century black and green marble socle.
The perfect pair for bringing a sense of classical grandeur and prestige to any interior.
