Item Description
A charming Bronze by Louis Kley (1833-1911). Depicting a young seated female examining a flower and wearing a flowing dress. In very good and original condition, with a good brown patina and on its original ebonised wooden plinth. 400mm high, 240mm wide and 140mm deep. French. Circa 1890.
Louis Kley (1833–1911) was a distinguished French sculptor celebrated for his intricate and emotive works that bridged the Romantic and Art Nouveau movements. His sculptures, often rendered in bronze and gypsum, encompass a diverse array of subjects, including children, animals, mythological figures, and allegorical themes.
