Item Description
An early eighteenth century Italian giltwood armchair.
With wonderful original painted decoration.
The elegantly scrolled arms above a stuffed seat, raised on cabriole legs terminating in paw feet.
Circa, 1720
Provenance: Floors Castle, Kelso.
Likely removed in the early 20th century when the 8th Duchess oversaw extensive remodelling of the interiors.
