Lanterns are used both inside and outside the home, and antique lanterns can make an exceptional focal point. If you want a light for the exterior, then check with the dealer first if the one you like is suitable. If you need a vintage lantern for a covered porch area, then your choices are wider. Scale is also very important, as hanging a small vintage French lantern in a big open space will look odd and not provide much light.
Tip: You may see the term PAT tested in some of the descriptions. This means that your vintage pub lantern has been correctly tested and passed as having safe wiring, although we always advise clients to check with the dealer how long ago this was done and if in doubt, then ask your electrician to take a look.
